Description
The University of Ontario Institute of Technology is located in Durham Region, less than an hour east of Toronto in Oshawa, Ontario Canada. We are Ontario's newest university and offer students a pedestrian-friendly campus, equipped with leading-edge classrooms and labs, modern residences and a laptop-based learning environment.
Curriculum Overview
The University of Ontario Institute of Technology offers a wide variety of undergraduate degree programs in commerce, criminology and justice, education, engineering, health sciences and science. Students studying engineering or science programs may choose to study additional courses in management to develop business skills essential in today's workforce.
All students are required to participate in the university's mobile learning environment. The use of personal laptop computers allows students to enhance communication and collaboration with fellow students and professors in and outside of the classroom through assignments, presentations, research and electronic discussions.

Student Life
The Student Development Office welcomes the student voice, connects students to existing campus opportunities and assists students in developing new initiatives. The office liaises with the Student Association, Student Centre, residence, athletics, student clubs, Campus Health Centre, alumni, academic departments, and Student Support Services to promote student activities and enhance student satisfaction and student success.
