UNSW has over 250 sister university partnerships and is a foundation member of Universitas 21, an international consortium of leading research universities and a foundation member of the Group of Eight universities, comprising Australia's leading research universities.

Curriculum Overview

We are a comprehensive university and offer more than 400 undergraduate and postgraduate programs through the faculties of Arts and Social Sciences, Australian Graduate School of Management, Built Environment, College of Fine Arts, Commerce and Economics, Engineering, Law, Medicine, Science and University College, at the Australian Defence Force Academy.

Entry to programs at UNSW is competitive, and based on academic merit. UNSW also offers a range of one or two year postgraduate coursework programs, as well as two year postgraduate research programs and PhD programs.

Student Life

Some of the facilities at UNSW aimed at student life are international student associations, sports associations, bookshops, banks, restaurants and sports facilities. There are counselling services, a housing office, religious services and an on campus medical and dental centre.

The University is located in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, approximately 10 minutes from the Central Business District and Sydney Harbour, and 5-10 minutes from popular east-coast beaches such as the famous Coogee Beach and Bondi Beach.

Special Services

UNSW offers a wide range of student services and facilities including airport reception, orientation programs, academic and language support, modern computing and laboratory facilities and libraries.

There are seven residential colleges and two blocks of furnished, self-contained share apartments on and off campus, as well as a housing service which provides assistance with finding private rental accommodation.
