Description

A degree-granting institution offering Christian university education, King's is located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Founded in 1979, King's offers fully-accredited, Bachelor degrees in the arts, humanities, music, social sciences, natural sciences and commerce/management, theology, as well as a Bachelor of Education after-degree. Students can enroll in over 300 courses in 20 disciplines, with 13 major concentration areas.

With small class sizes King's students receive the kind of personal attention that cannot be found in larger university settings. Undergraduate students, mentored one-on-one, acquire hands-on experience in self-directed research projects, collaborating with local, national and international partners. King's students have the advantage of meeting regularly with a faculty advisor. All professors are easily accessible and if students have questions or require extra help, they meet directly with faculty - not their assistants.

Student Life

Student Clubs
There are 19 clubs and student organizations on campus including: MASS - Micah Action & Awareness Student Society (promoting action for local and global social injustice); King's Global Community (international students); King's Players Drama Club, King's Hands Club (community support and outreach for those in need), The King's Commerce Association, The Supper Club (enjoys sampling some of Edmonton finest ethnic restaurants) and more.

Worship
King's provides many opportunities for its students to worship, both individually and as a community. Chapel services are held every Wednesday at noon, group prayer every Tuesday at noon, and Rez worship on Wednesday nights. Smaller Bible study and prayer groups are also happy to welcome new members.

Special Services

King's has available: services for students with disabilities, a student relief fund, tutoring programs, counseling services, peer support services, career services , a campus minister, a housing registry, health clinics, and a student care program.

Applications available in January to be submitted by March 31st. Both scholarships and bursaries available.

Housing

There is an eight-floor residence tower at King's, mostly with shared rooms, although single rooms are available. King's also has apartment style housing with 6-bedroom suites, complete with full kitchen facilities. This apartment residence is intended for third and fourth year students. Housing is available on a first-come, first-serve basis, so students are encouraged to apply early. The staff and Residence Council organize extra-curricular social activities and learning opportunities for residence students.
