Curriculum Overview

Undergraduate degree programs:
HKUST offers a wide range of challenging and rigorous degree programs in Science, Engineering, Business and Management, with opportunities to take courses in Humanities and Social Science, including China studies.

Undergraduate programs at HKUST normally require full-time attendance for three academic years. All lead to honors degrees. The University uses a credit-based system under which students follow a structured set of courses and earn credits semester by semester toward the completion of their degree requirements. In order to graduate, students need to accumulate a total of 100-105 credits, as specified for each program, which must include at least 18 credits of course work in general education.

In line with our pace-setting approach, the University employs a delivery mix of lectures, seminars, group projects, and continuous assessment.
