Description
Tallinn Pedagogical University (TPU) has acted as a promotor of new educational ideas and as a center for teacher training in Estonia for more than 80 years. During the last decade University has rapidly expanded, the number of students has grown from 2200 in 1992 to 6976 in 2002. Today TPU is standing as a central training and research establishment in Tallinn, focusing its activities besides teacher training also to humanities, social and natural sciences, developing programs in sports and fine arts.
Housing
There are several different alternatives for arranging student accommodation in Tallinn. Most visiting students stay in renovated University dormitory Karu Street 17.
