Description

The Royal Veterinary College (RVC) is the UK's first and largest veterinary school and a constituent College of the University of London. It received the maximum score of 24 out of 24 in an assessment of teaching standards by the Quality Assurance Agency in February 2000. In 1999 it also became the first UK veterinary school to be accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association.

The College is one of the leading veterinary research centres in Europe and received 5 out of 5 in the latest Research Assessment Exercise. It also provides support for the veterinary profession through its three referral hospitals, diagnostic services and continuing professional development courses.

The College is based on two main campuses, the Camden campus in London and the Hawkshead campus in Hertfordshire.

Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine - five year programme for students wishing to train to become a veterinary surgeon

Student Life

Campus in London giving students the opportunity to enjoy the wealth of cultural and intellectual opportunities complemented by a cosmopolitan social scene. Membership of the University of London Union (ULU) entitles students to discounts at many of the capital's cinemas and theatres, on travel and in some shops.
Campus in Hertfordshire in lovely countryside and close to the characterful city of St Albans with it's old market, the cathedral and Verulamium Roman Town
