Description
MANCAT is one of the largest Further Education colleges in the UK offering an excellent variety of quality programmes in both vocational and academic areas.
Our modern campuses are located in and around the heart of this vibrant cosmopolitan city, where we are famed for our friendliness.
Curriculum Overview
For 16-18 year olds we can offer courses in our Sixth Forms which provide social and personal as well as academic development in a wide range of A Level subject areas, for which we have excellent results, or in a specialised vocational field.
For adult learners we can consider experience in the workplace as well as any previous qualifications to help identify the right path and prepare to progress to Higher Education in the UK.
We also offer a range of Higher Education programmes which are cost effective in comparison to Univesrity tuition fee rates, with smaller class sizes and an opportunity to save time and money by taking a Fastrack option in some cases.
Student Life
Our campuses offer excellent student facilities including libraries with full resources in a variety of media, cafes and restaurants catering for all tastes at subsidised prices, and fully-equipped gyms at two of our main sites.
The elected Student Council represent student interests and help organise clubs and activities, whilst each course on each site has a link in to enrichment activities according to the interests of the students.
Special Services
Our Advice and Guidance team are available to support students throughout the year, experienced in helping with a full range of issues from personal problems to housing, culture shock to University applications and creating a strong CV (resume).
The International Team support students from before they arrive in the college, helping to make every aspect of the overseas study experience positive, often keeping in touch long after graduation and return to home country.
Financial Aid
We prefer to keep our tuition fees competitively priced for all rather than offer scholarships to benefit only a few, so no financial aid is available through MANCAT.
Housing
Our accommodation team are also on hand to ensure that the environment outside of college is a positive one, and appropriate to each individual's preferences.
This varies from homestay accommodation, through shared private accommodation, to private halls of residence.
