Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology has been to the forefront in contributing to these achievements.From its inception, the Institute cultivated Liberal Studies and European languages as well as education in art and design.
Special Services
A wide range of services covering the areas of Accommodation, Health, Counselling and Chaplaincy are provided on a full-time basis.
Housing
A list is drawn up each year of the different types of accommodation available in the area: partial board (bed, breakfast and evening meal), flats, self catering facilities and houses for rent. The list is available from the Accommodation Officer on acceptance of a
college place. Students organise their accommodation with the help of this list and are responsible for arranging terms on which rent is paid. Guidelines on rental arrangements are published in the Students Guide and Welfare Booklet issued by the Students Union.
