Description

Flinders is everything a modern university should be - progressive and dynamic yet still friendly and accessible. We offer a vibrant and stimulating environment in which to study and have a long-held reputation as the "students' university".
The main Flinders campus is in Adelaide, spread over 165 hectares with thousands of trees and areas of natural bushland and the elevated site offers panoramic views of the CBD and nearby coast.

Curriculum Overview

We offer more than 160 undergraduate and postgraduate courses, as well as higher degree research supervision across all disciplines. Many courses use new information and communication technologies to supplement face-to-face teaching and provide flexible options.

International students make up 10% of our on-campus student population and we also offer a number of offshore programs.

We also have a high research profile and consistently rank among Australia's top universities on a per capita basis for research spending and for the citation of our work in professional journals. There is a strong emphasis on collaboration between disciplines.
For further information about programs offered please refer to our online pages at http://www.flinders.edu.au/international/students/courses.html

Student Life

On campus: the Union provides seven food and beverage outlets, a Union shop, free entertainment, a music listening centre, Welfare and Employment services, Parent Centre, the ACCESS information service, locker hire, and Union Hub.

Flinders University Sports and Fitness has excellent sporting facilities. The Sports and Fitness centre includes a weights room, circuit room, aerobics room, 3 squash courts and a sports hall. All of these facilities are fully air conditioned and heated. The Playing Fields comprise three levels of ovals which provide for a number of sports incluing athletics, baseball, cricket, football, soocer and touch. The Tennis Courts comprise both hardcourt and grass courts.

The Clubs and Societies Association plays an important part in campus life. When you start at Flinders University you often don't know a lot of people and it can be hard to get to make friends during the hectic "getting started" period. Joining a club or two, which are of interest to you, can give you the opportunity to meet people with similar interests.

Off campus: Marion Shopping Centre offers many shops and a cinema complex, the beach is only 10 minutes by car from Flinders University and the city is 25 minutes away.
