Description
The founders had a strong vision of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) as a means to establish a high standard of education for the profession and as a catalyst for the cohesive development of chiropractic in Canada. Over sixty years later, CMCC has developed into an international leader in chiropractic education and is dedicated to excellence in service to its community. The educational standards of CMCC are among the highest of chiropractic programs throughout the world. The undergraduate education is solidly grounded in the art, philosophy and science of
chiropractic, through both academic education and practical, clinical experience.
CMCC offers a four-year Doctor of Chiropractic degree program as well as several residency programs for Doctors of Chiropractic. The Integrative Curriculum is organized into a combination of lecture and small group based learning formats.

Curriculum Overview
The first two years of the curriculum present material focused, in part, on specific anatomical regions. These two years are organized into 8 intensive modules of study extending into the first two weeks of June. The
duration of the modules in Year I and II vary in length from five to nine weeks. Year III of the curriculum uses a pain-based focus superimposed upon a systems based approach for each of nine modules. The modules
in Year III are approximately four weeks in length, with the final module ending in late May.
Year IV of the program concentrates on clinical education and a clinical practicum that extends across a full calendar year, commencing at the end of Year III. An in-depth synthesis of the previous studies is mastered
through clinical activities focused on preparing students for professional chiropractic practice.
Financial Aid
The Government of Canada directly finances loans made available to students in financial need who are registered in academic programs at post-secondary institutions. To be eligible, you must be a Canadian Citizen or have Permanent Resident status (not a student visa) and have lived in a participating province for more than one year.
The provincial student assistance programs are intended to supplement students who lack adequate financial resources to pursue post-secondary
education. Determination of the amount of the assistance is based on criteria developed jointly by federal and provincial governments for the
Canada Student Loans Program.
Students are advised to apply early for government loans. Loans can take up to twelve weeks to process following receipt of the application. For further information, contact the appropriate Provincial Student Loans Office or the Financial Aid Administrator in the Division of Student Services. For your convenience, the addresses and contact numbers for Provincial Student Loan Offices are available on the CMCC website
www.cmcc.ca and at the Office of Student Services.
CMCC has specific arrangements for Professional Student Lines of Credit with CIBC, Scotiabank, RBC Royal Bank of Canada, TD Canada Trust and BMO Bank of Montreal. Bank loans are available to students in all
years; however, bank loans and/or lines of credit have yearly and overall maximums and students should be aware of these maximums which impact their long term financial budgets for the four year CMCC program.
Information on pre-professional loans is available through the Office of Student Services.
Housing
While CMCC has no facilities for student housing, the office of Student Services maintains a listing of rental accommodations to aid students
