Description
Brock University sits on top of the Niagara Escarpment overlooking St. Catharines, Ontario. It is the only university in Canada situated in a UNESCO world biosphere reserve. Founded in 1964, Brock University is named for Major General Sir Isaac Brock, who lost his life in the War of 1812 defending the territory which is now Canada against invading American forces at the Battle of Queenston Heights. St. Catharines is the largest city in the Niagara region, located a one hour drive from Toronto and thirty minutes from marvelous Niagara Falls and the United States border. The city has a rich history, as well as countless forms of entertainment, recreational opportunities, and cultural activities. St. Catharines is a safe and welcoming city that enjoys one of the warmest climates in Canada. For the third year in a row, Brock University graduates boast the highest employment rates among Ontario universities. Two years after graduation, 97.8 per cent of Brock graduates are employed in their field of study. Our students succeed because they have taken advantage of the many forms of experiential learning, such as co-op education programs, internships, field study courses, and Brock's unique EXPERIENCE PLUS and INTERNTATIONAL PLUS program.
